Rotterdam as a strategic choice for growth
After an extensive search across multiple European cities, United Imaging Healthcare has established its European Headquarters (EHQ) in Rotterdam, positioning the city as a key hub for its commercial, service, and support operations across Europe. In line with its international growth strategy, Rotterdam was chosen for its attractive location, international accessibility, and fast-growing Life Sciences & Health sector. Rotterdam felt like home from day one.
The move was facilitated by collective efforts of Rotterdam Partners, InnovationQuarter, Rotterdam Square and the NFIA. This has been pivotal in ensuring a smooth set up and to ensure a successful market entry in Europe. United Imaging will be a valuable addition to the health and tech ecosystem that is developing in Rotterdam at the Erasmus MC Campus.
United Imaging has signed a long-term lease for approximately 3,500 m² of premium office space in the Las Palmas building on the Kop van Zuid. From this strategic location the company will coordinate operations across Europe. This move reflects the company’s commitment to a strong and lasting presence in Europe.
Driving AI innovation in healthcare
The Rotterdam base will serve as a launchpad for deploying AI-enabled imaging systems across Europe, including CE-certified PET/CT, MRI, CT, Angiography, and diagnostic X-ray equipment. Recent installations at Lutetia Group in France and Kliniken Essen-Mitte in Germany signal strong market adoption of the company’s next-generation technologies.
Looking ahead, United Imaging aims to establish European R&D and logistics centers to advance Key Enabling Technologies (KET) and precision medicine research. This expansion aligns with regional ambitions to strengthen healthcare innovation and address the Europe’s need for scalable, high-quality diagnostic solutions.
