We are pleased to announce the first joint accelerator between Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+ and Erasmus MC. A six-week program run by Rotterdam Square that culminates in a tailor-made, 5-day program designed exclusively for NL HealthTech, MedTech, and Biotech startups who want to scale in the USA.
This unique initiative is a collaboration between Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+, Erasmus MC, NBSO Los Angeles, and ScaleNL. The program starts October 5, in Rotterdam and culminates five weeks later in sunny Los Angeles, the week of November 9, right before HLTH USA.

About the program
The NL USA Health Accelerator follows a mentorship-driven approach, aimed at assisting early-stage companies at growing their Dutch-based business and entering the US market to expand their business. You will get a unique opportunity to meet clinicians from Erasmus MC and from the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+ network to accelerate the development, growth, and traction of your product and company.
Through close collaboration with clinicians, executives, researchers, and other seasoned professionals, you will gain profound insights into the intricate demands of both patients and providers within the Dutch and US contexts. Aside from mentorship, participating companies will join specialized workshops and lectures delivered by industry experts on topics like reimbursements, the US payment systems, legal considerations: EMA Approvals, FDA Approvals & securing your IP.

The participating founder or CEO needs to be available to participate in person for the launch week (October 5th), Pre-trip week (November 2) in Rotterdam and the US program in Los Angeles (November 9-13). Participation for the entire week is required. During the week in LA, we ask that you keep your schedule open during US business hours and be on time for all mentor sessions.
Your team members are welcome to join the program virtually, alongside the founder who will be participating in person in Los Angeles.

Who is the NL USA Health Accelerator for?
The NL USA Health Accelerator is designed for early-stage HealthTech, MedTech, and Biotech startups that:
- Are based in the Netherlands
- Have at least two full-time employees associated with the company
- Have a clear ambition to scale to the U.S. market
- Have moved beyond concept development and possess a functional prototype, MVP, or validated proof-of-concept
The program unfortunately won’t be a great fit for:
- B2C companies
- Companies beyond Series A
What does the NL USA
Health Accelerator cost?
Participating companies can join the NL USA Health Accelerator for a fee of €2,500, gaining access to a unique opportunity to accelerate their growth and connect with key stakeholders in both the Netherlands and the U.S. health innovation ecosystems.
Travel-related expenses for the Los Angeles program are not included. Companies that choose to extend their stay to attend HLTH USA are welcome to do so at their own expense.
