Rotterdam startup JUNO launches app to support men’s fertility
A new milestone for JUNO: the Rotterdam-based startup has officially launched its fertility app, helping men take a more active role in their reproductive health.
Male factors play an important role in fertility challenges, yet support and resources for men remain limited. JUNO aims to address this gap by providing men with personalized, evidence-based guidance to help improve sperm health and better understand the factors that can influence fertility.
The app focuses on lifestyle factors such as nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress, heat exposure and environmental influences. Based on a user’s lifestyle and goals, JUNO provides tailored recommendations and educational content to support men who are trying to conceive.
The company was founded to encourage greater involvement of men in fertility journeys and to support a more balanced approach to fertility care, where both partners are included. By making fertility information more accessible and actionable, JUNO aims to help men take a proactive role in their reproductive health.
To ensure the app’s medical and scientific foundation, JUNO works with an international advisory board of experts in reproductive health and urology. The board includes Prof. Dr. Peter Schlegel, former Chair of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical Center and pioneer of the microTESE procedure; Prof. Allan Pacey MBE, former Chairman of the British Fertility Society and internationally recognised expert in sperm biology; and Dr. Justin Dubin, a fellowship-trained urologist and andrologist focused on men’s reproductive health. The advisory board is further complemented by fertility experts and advocates Dr. Kela Smith and Cheryl Dowling, founder of IVF Warrior.
With further developments planned, including additional support features, connections to healthcare professionals and at-home fertility test kit ordering, JUNO continues to expand its platform and impact.
We congratulate the JUNO team on this important milestone and look forward to following their continued growth and contribution to the Rotterdam Life Sciences & Health ecosystem.
JUNO is now available for download on both the App Store and Google Play.
