Introducing the companies selected for the inaugural NL USA Health Accelerator
Seven Dutch HealthTech, MedTech and Biotech companies have been selected to take part in the first NL USA Health Accelerator.
Starting October 5, the companies will take part in a six-week program supporting their ambitions to grow in the US healthcare market. The program connects participants with clinicians, researchers, executives, and other experts across the Dutch and US healthcare ecosystems and culminates in a dedicated week at Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+ in Los Angeles.
Meet the selected companies
ExoVectory is a biotechnology company developing exosome-based precision medicines for life-threatening and currently incurable diseases. The company develops exosomes as a new type of delivery system for gene therapeutics. Exosomes are tiny vesicles secreted by cells in the human body that can travel over long distances, including from the bloodstream to the brain. ExoVectory’s technology enables these exosomes to be loaded with powerful gene therapeutics, opening new opportunities for the treatment of a variety of diseases.

Kaminari Medical is a medical technology company developing the next generation of intravascular imaging solutions. By combining photoacoustics with ultrasound imaging technology, the company aims to provide more precise visualization and risk assessment of coronary artery plaques. This technology is designed to support healthcare providers in making more informed decisions during interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Moveshelf is a digital health company focused on transforming care for musculoskeletal and movement disorders. By combining data from wearables and clinical movement analysis with advanced software and Artificial Intelligence, Moveshelf supports clinical teams in understanding and restoring human motion. Its platform helps clinicians use objective movement data to support more personalized treatment and improve the standard of care for people with movement disorders.

Presurgeo develops AI-powered software that automates 3D skeletal image analysis for screening, diagnostics, and pre-surgical planning for musculoskeletal care. In collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, the company has developed SkeletonPlanner, an AI-powered platform that automates 3D bone geometry analysis and osteotomy planning. The platform aims to make orthopedic surgical planning faster and more standardized, while reducing the workload for clinicians.

Sencilia is a DeepTech/MedTech startup developing sensor technology to enhance the safety of IV infusion therapy. Its Rely-V® technology is a reusable, non-contact sensor designed to monitor very low IV infusion flows in real time and detect potential flow disruptions considerably faster than is possible with pump pressure alarms alone. The technology is initially focused on supporting safer IV drug administration for vulnerable patients, including infants in neonatal intensive care, with planned expansion into ambulatory infusion pumps and homecare monitoring in the future. Rely-V® is in development and is not yet cleared or approved by the FDA, CE marked, or approved for clinical sale.

VitalWear creates a new dimension of non-invasive, continuous patient monitoring by embedding optical fiber sensing technology into textile materials such as mattress covers and bed sheets and in the future also wheelchair seating surfaces and even clothing. With its solutions, VitalWear monitors relevant patient parameters while increasing nursing staff efficiency and maintaining patient comfort. VitalWear initially focuses on optimizing pressure ulcer prevention by assisting the nurses, improving patient-specific risk assessment and enabling earlier detection.

From Rotterdam to Los Angeles
The NL USA Health Accelerator is the first joint accelerator between Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+ and Erasmus MC.
The program is founded by Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam Square, NBSO Los Angeles, ScaleNL, Rabobank, the Municipality of Rotterdam, Erasmus Enterprise, and Coronet Ventures Netherlands.
The program kicks off in Rotterdam on October 5 and culminates with a program at Cedars-Sinai Accelerator+ in Los Angeles from November 9 to 13.
