AI and Imaging take center stage at Rotterdam Square event
On 2 April, the Rotterdam Life Sciences & Health community gathered at Erasmus MC for an inspiring knowledge session on AI and Imaging, exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming diagnostics and treatment in healthcare.
The interactive afternoon brought together professionals from across the ecosystem and sparked engaging discussions on both the opportunities and challenges of implementing AI in clinical practice. From real-time data applications to image-guided therapy, the session offered valuable insights into the future of healthcare innovation.
The program featured contributions from leading experts:
- Jacob J. Visser (Erasmus MC), who shared his perspective on how AI is reshaping clinical practice and what is needed for responsible and effective implementation
- Danny Ruijters (Philips / Eindhoven University of Technology), who explored hyper-personalized treatment through big data and real-time AI, as well as the future of image-guided therapy
- Jawad Handizi (JH Consultancy Healthcare), who guided participants through “AI in Healthcare: From Introduction to Implementation: A Practical Journey,” addressing expectations, challenges, and real-world applications
A key highlight of the session was the premiere of our collaborative video created together with Erasmus MC Radiology & Nuclear Medicine and Philips.
