Panton and Dune Innovation move forward together

Panton, designers for healthcare, and Dune Innovation will merge under the name Panton as of January 1, 2025.

Design studio Panton is an established name in healthcare. Panton shapes the healthcare of today and tomorrow. Its designers develop impactful and sustainable solutions that aid with challenges in health and healthcare.

Panton was founded in 2005 by Ingeborg Griffioen. For several years, Panton’s management has been formed by Mario de Zeeuw and Jasper Brands, who recently took over.

Dune Innovation, founded by Willem Mees van der Bijl, is located on the Erasmus MC Campus in Rotterdam. It designs and develops medical devices and uses its expertise in innovation and business development to help medical companies, from start-ups to SMEs and multinationals.

With the merger of Panton and Dune Innovation, Willem Mees van der Bijl becomes the third partner of Panton, expanding the specialized expertise needed to develop medical devices and successfully bring them to market.

Mario, Willem Mees and Jasper have known each other for twenty years. They have collaborated on several innovations in healthcare in the past. Willem Mees: “For Dune Innovation, this is an important step in our young existence. By becoming part of Panton, we can help our customers even better. We already work from the same vision that design creates value in healthcare. And we complement each other in the various disciplines that are needed to realize healthcare innovations.”

Deventer and Rotterdam

Panton now operates from two locations. In addition to the historic location in Deventer, Panton is also based at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. The team of 17+ designers works together on innovation projects both nationally and internationally.
