Registration for National Healthcare Innovation Award 2025 opened

Registration for the National Healthcare Innovation Award 2025 (in Dutch: Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs) is now open. Until Thursday, October 31, companies in the scaling-up phase can register their innovation in healthcare and welfare here.

The best South Holland innovations will be invited by Medical Delta for the regional preliminary round in December; the winner of this round will compete for the national Professional Jury Award (won last year by South Holland’s Juvoly QuickConsult) or Audience Award (won in 2023 by South Holland’s Momo BedSense).

The National Healthcare Innovation Award will celebrate its tenth edition in 2025. Since the start of the award in 2016, many healthcare companies have found it easier to find their way to the market after participating to implement and scale up their innovation.

Zorginnovatie.nl is the national network for innovations in health and healthcare. Their mission is to support entrepreneurs in the (further) development of promising innovations. Companies that have already developed, tested and launched their innovation can often use some help to make their business a real success. That is why Zorginnovatie.nl will award the National Healthcare Innovation Award for the tenth time in 2025; the award for the most innovative healthcare company in the scaling-up phase. Participants have a chance to win the professional jury prize of no less than €10,000 or the public prize worth €5,000.

Process

The National Healthcare Innovation Award consists of more than just the cash prizes for the professional jury and public winner. The entire process is entirely dedicated to putting promising innovations in the spotlight. For example, from November 18 to January 24, regional preliminary rounds will take place, organised by the regional partners of Zorginnovatie.nl. During these preliminary rounds, the participants will each be given a platform in their own region to pitch their innovation during a pitch competition. Each region will select a regional winner, who will then continue as a finalist for the National Healthcare Innovation Award.

As a finalist, you will gain valuable knowledge during the follow-up process and expand your network to take your company to a higher level. For example, there will be a free pitch training on February 7, where you will receive the necessary tips and tricks to make the story of your innovation even stronger. In addition, a special Finalists Day will take place on March 5, where you will record a professional pitch clip. At the same time, you will get to know various partners of Zorginnovatie.nl who can help you with specific themes.

The final is scheduled for March 13 during the Health Valley Event. Here, the finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their innovation to the public and an expert jury. Each finalist will also have their own stand on the exhibition floor of the event to bring their innovation to the attention of visitors.

From April 8-10, Zorg & ict will take place, the largest health tech event in the Netherlands. With more than 10,000 visitors, this is a great opportunity to make the innovations of the finalists visible to all stakeholders in the sector. The finalists will have a stand on the exhibition floor, and the process will be concluded on April 9 with the festive announcement of the winners on the main stage.
