Meet the Team: Claudia Sprenger de Rover

Rotterdam Square is a team of five dedicated women, working together to build the innovative Life Sciences & Health ecosystem within the Rotterdam region. We’d like to introduce you to our team, getting to know the faces behind ‘Rotterdam Square’. Meet Claudia Sprenger de Rover, our Office and Event Manager.

Could you first introduce yourself?

My name is Claudia Sprenger de Rover and since March 2023 I am working as the Office Manager / Event Manager at Rotterdam Square. I am responsible for the planning, organization and execution of both internal and external events and for organizational and secretarial matters in the Rotterdam Square Office.

What is your background?

The past 20 years I worked for a Cardiovascular Research Organisation in Rotterdam, where I supported the Board and organized (inter)national events. Before I started at the Cardiovascular Research Organisation, I was working at the Dijkzigt Hospital, now Erasmus MC, as a secretary of the Head of Interventional Cardiology.

What motivates you in your job?

The work is very diverse. One of the activities within Rotterdam Square is organizing our own events and to bring healthcare institutions, entrepreneurs, business and students together. I am very enthusiastic about organizing these events and it makes me feel good when the event went well. I am happy when everything is organized and I really enjoy supporting the team as well.
