Meet the Network: Samantha Boer, NiceDay Nederland

The Life Sciences & Health ecosystem within the Rotterdam region consists of a wide network of companies and other organizations, such as educational institutes and healthcare providers, innovating in healthcare. As Rotterdam Square, we would like you to get to know our partners in this network. This time we introduce to you: Samantha Boer, Innovation Manager at NiceDay Nederland.

Could you first introduce yourself?Samantha de Boer, NiceDay Nederland

I am Samantha Boer, and I work as Innovation Manager at NiceDay Nederland. After studying public administration at the University of Utrecht, I accidentally entered the world of ICT in various roles.

From my experience in these different roles, I am convinced that with the correct use of computers and technology, the challenges we currently face within (mental) care can be tackled. It is extremely important that the use of technology and applications facilitates healthcare and is not seen as a goal in itself.

At NiceDay, I focus every day on how the use of our portal helps support our clients (GGZ) and practitioners, to provide the right care for clients at the right time.

What does your company do?

NiceDay offers organizations and practitioners digital resources to provide personalized and accessible care. NiceDay is a treatment platform, client portal & e-health solution all in one. Clients are able to record events, symptoms and complaints. Practitioners can carry out meaningful interventions based on data-driven insights or use modules to support their treatment. Data supported treatment, in combination with in between session contact has been scientifically proven to be effective. It has been shown that both the duration of the sessions and the duration of the total treatment process decreases.

NiceDay is used both by practitioners that work 100% online and practitioners that work hybridly (on location with the support of technology). They use various form of treatment such as: CBT, schema therapy, EMDR, VERS, ACT and give group sessions. By integrating NiceDay with an (Koppeltaal) with an EPD, practitioners will be able to use one central system for all their work and all this information will also directly available to the client via theNiceDay app. In addition to its application in the Dutch (and international) mental health care field, NiceDay is used (on a limited scale) by coaches, dieticians and psychologists at the general practitioners.

What brings the Life Sciences & Health network to your company?

We are continuously iterating and improving our product, based on user feedback, but also thanks to input of domain experts. We strongly believe that collaboration in the healthcare system will work to improve healthcare, tackle waiting lists and ensure that clients receive the right care at the right time.

By enabling and simplifying the exchange of data between treatment platforms, eHealth systems, and client files, the value of data will be enhanced, thereby providing practitioners with superior support in delivering optimal care.. We have our focus on these collaborations.
