Meet our new Team Member: Rolien Beijers

Rotterdam Square is a team of six, working together to build the innovative Life Sciences & Health ecosystem within the Rotterdam region. We’d like to introduce you to our team, getting to know the faces behind ‘Rotterdam Square’. Meet our newest team member Rolien Beijers, our Program Manager Events.

Could you first introduce yourself?

Hi all, my name is Rolien Beijers and I am the Program Manager Events for Rotterdam Square. In my role, I organize and further co-develop the program for the events for the Life Sciences & Health network in the Rotterdam region. Feel free to reach out to me related to (our) events!

What is your background?

I have a background in Science Communication and Industrial Design Engineering from the TU Delft. My career started at KPN, shortly after a prolonged stay at the Ministry of Defence, where I graduated. During my time at KPN, I loved working on their large B2B events and later on at their technical strategy department. I enjoy working with people and bringing them together to learn from each other. In my previous job I worked at the intersection of communication and change management.

What motivates you in your job?

If you’d ask me, the healthcare sector is the place to contribute to society. I am intrigued to understand more of the LSH network and organize events to link organizations and companies to each other, so innovations really reach the patient.
