Rotterdam Square Life Science Cafe: where bright ideas meet inspiring connections.

On Thursday, 5 March, innovators, entrepreneurs, and partners gathered at Kadans Science Partner Science Tower Rotterdam for the Rotterdam Square Life Science Café to share ideas and connect.

The programme opened with remarks from our director, Ellen Smit, followed by Moshe Sijben, who introduced YES!Delft.

Participants from the MedTech Accelerator programme with YES!Delft delivered short pitches highlighting their cutting-edge innovations:

Susanne Bos from Acoustic Insight demonstrated how their optical coherence tomography-based imaging solution supports surgeons in optimizing surgical outcomes for patients.
Stefan Bonhof from Corbotics B.V. explained how their patented AI techniques and robotics consistently generate clinically usable echocardiograms, enabling cardiologists to diagnose heart disease more effectively.
Aleksandre Japaridze from SoundCell shared their mission to give patients with severe infections a fighting chance against antibiotic resistance through their susceptibility testing platform, MelodyOne.
Storm Chabot from SATA Medical presented their reusable articulating surgical instruments that combine precision and affordability, enhance steerability for surgeons, and help reduce medical waste.

After the plenary programme, participants had the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations.

Thank you to all participants for your contributions and active engagement throughout the event!
