Medical Delta Café: ‘How do we turn healthy behavior into a habit?’

Medical Delta Café: ‘How do we turn healthy behavior into a habit?’

The Medical Delta Café on Tuesday, 23 June will focus on how to turn healthy behavior into a lasting habit. Apps and intervention programs can help create short-term motivation for healthy eating and sufficient physical activity, but their long-term effectiveness is often limited.

The discussion will explore how lasting behavioral change can be achieved, which methods are effective over longer periods, which psychological mechanisms are involved, and what works for different groups of people. Experts and people with lived experience will share their perspectives during this session, organized in close collaboration with the Healthy Society Program.

During the Café, there will be opportunities to engage in discussion with the speakers, and a networking reception will follow. Participants are invited to share insights, experiences, and challenges.

Speakers include:

  • Prof. dr. Marieke Adriaanse, Behavioral Change (Universiteit Leiden / LUMC)
  • Natasja van der Lely, New Lunch Culture (Greenport West-Holland)
  • Prof. dr. David van Bodegom, Vitality Clubs (LUMC)
  • Mirjam Touw, reflection from practice (Buurtzorg)

Please note: the event will be held in Dutch.
