What an incredible day at Healthy Funding 2026 full of energy and connections
On Thursday, April 16, Postillion Hotels & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam was buzzing with energy as investors and pioneering companies in the Life Sciences and Health sector gathered for this year’s edition of Healthy Funding.
The event opened with an inspiring plenary session, including welcoming remarks from Ellen Smit, Managing Director of Rotterdam Square. A keynote from Douwe Jippens of Healthy.Capital followed, who shared key perspectives on fundraising and how startups can best prepare to engage with investors.
Following the opening, Sharon Mullen invited a diverse group of investors to the stage to present their investment focus and perspectives. The lineup included specialized healthcare venture capital firms such as NextGen Ventures, Noaber, PGGM, Capricorn Partners, and Heran Partners.
They were joined by HealthTech-focused investors, including Holland Capital, 4impact, Borski Fund, and BVP. Health insurance investors such as VGZ and CbusineZ also shared their perspectives, alongside institutional investors including InnovationQuarter, Rabobank, Invest International, and Invest-NL.
After a short break, the core of the event began with nine rounds of one-on-one matchmaking sessions. Fifteen investors engaged directly with a wide range of startups at dedicated tables, resulting in 207 meeting opportunities throughout the day. These sessions sparked meaningful conversations and laid the groundwork for potential collaborations. At the same time, the open networking area remained lively, offering additional opportunities for spontaneous connections.
The program concluded with a plenary reflection. Sharon Mullen was joined by participating investors and entrepreneurs, who shared key takeaways and reflections on the day. The event wrapped up with a traditional Dutch borrel, providing a relaxed setting for investors and startups to continue conversations and strengthen connections.
