Healthy Ideas, Healthy Returns (HIHR) is back in Rotterdam! The 17th edition of HIHR will take place in October 2025 with online Quickfire sessions scheduled October 6–10, and their live pitch event at Erasmus MC on Wednesday, October 15. HIHR happily welcomes you to connect with the newest academic health spin-offs from the Benelux!

Call for participants

Are you working on a (future) academic spin-off in the field of human health? Whether you are just starting out or already raising funding, HIHR-17 offers tailored opportunities to help you move forward:

• Very early stage ideas or venture proposals not pitch ready yet are much welcome to apply for a Quickfire session and receive tailor made feedback on any question you want to ask. These 30 to 45 minute online sessions will take place from October 6–10, at 9am, 12pm or 5pm.
• Startups seeking (pre-)seed funding are invited to nominate their proposition for a pitch presentation during the live pitch event.
• 1 alumni project, seeking additional funding in ‘pre-series A’-stage will be selected to present their case and share their ‘lessons learned in their Start-up Journey’.

Nominate your startup to pitch

Would you like to pitch your health venture at HIHR-17? Submit your nomination via your respective Technology Transfer Office (TTO) no later han Thursday September 18, 2025, 12:00pm CEST via the HIHR website.

Please note that nominations have to be submitted and guided by your TTO office.
