CIC Rotterdam launches new innovation space ‘DELTA’

On Friday, June 20, CIC Rotterdam celebrated the official opening of its newest community space, DELTA – a 1,136 m² expansion within the Groot Handelsgebouw that marks a significant step in strengthening the city’s innovation ecosystem.

The festive opening event welcomed Alderman Robert Simons, CIC Founder & CEO Tim Rowe, and General Manager Joyce Kornet-Vreugdenhil to cut the ribbon on this dynamic addition to CIC’s innovation campus. DELTA is designed to give entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators more room to connect, create, and grow in the heart of Rotterdam.

Next to brand-new office space, DELTA offers two key features: Aurora, a 50-person event space created to host inspiring gatherings and community meetups, and The Creative Studio, a fully equipped space for content creation, including video, photography, and audio production. Both spaces are now open and already buzzing with activity, offering new opportunities for entrepreneurs and changemakers in the Rotterdam ecosystem.

With this expansion, CIC Rotterdam further reinforces its role as a key hub for innovation in the region. As CIC puts it: “Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation.”
