Kansen voor West subsidy secured for development new Erasmus MC Incubator
Exciting news! In collaboration with the Erasmus MC Technology Transfer Office, Rotterdam Square has secured a subsidy of €400.000 from Kansen voor West from the European Regional Development Fund for the development of the new Erasmus MC Incubator, creating a shared facility on the Erasmus MC Campus for starting businesses in Life Sciences & Health, focusing on Health&Tech.
Kansen voor West is a European economic incentive program to advance competitiveness in Western Netherlands. It implements European programs for the four Randstad provinces (North-Holland, South-Holland, Utrecht and Flevoland) and the four largest cities (Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht), funded by the European Union with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) that is meant to make Europe smarter and greener. Kansen voor West has allocated part of this fund to the Erasmus MC Incubator, stimulating innovation in the Rotterdam region.
Having a lab and office facility on campus is very important and we are excited about the opportunities it will bring to the ecosystem. It is a great opportunity for companies in Life Sciences & Health to locate in the heart of Rotterdam, being close to researchers, healthcare professionals, patients, and other resources within Rotterdam and the medical center, while also creating a strong community. We will keep you up-to-date about the plans for the Incubator here on our website.
