A successful event about MedTech for Rotterdam Square
Last week, Rotterdam Square hosted another event at Erasmus MC with the theme ‘MedTech from Research to Market’. MedTech, medical technology, is one of Rotterdam’s strengths and one of our focus areas – and there is a lot going on in the ecosystem.
We would like to thank our guest speakers Onno Helder from inspiring makerspace Create4Care, and Remi Veenman from design agency Spark design & innovation, for joining us and sharing the incredible work they are doing to make the jobs of healthcare professionals more efficient. User-centered, low and high tech innovations from service providers is what we need to maintain good healthcare for everyone in the future.
Lastly, we were joined by Paul van den Biggelaar who, as CEO, shared an inspiring presentation about the story of Sensius and the challenges businesses face getting a new medical device on the market. It’s a long road, but we are proud to have such passionate entrepreneurs in the Rotterdam ecosystem. And to repeat Paul’s most important takeaways for other starting businesses in Life Sciences & Health: never give up, and… manage your cash!
