Subsidy scheme Promising Care (Veelbelovende Zorg) opened a new round for project ideas
On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the National Health Care Institute and ZonMw opened the 10th round of the Promising Care (Veelbelovende Zorg) subsidy scheme. With this scheme, the National Health Care Institute and ZonMw offer researchers the opportunity to research promising medical treatments, medicines and medical aids. This accelerates the patient’s access to potential care through inclusion in the Dutch standard healthcare package.
The Promising Care subsidy scheme is intended for promising care that is not yet reimbursed from the Dutch standard healthcare package, because the effectiveness of this care compared to standard care in the Netherlands has not yet been researched. To make sure patients are always provided the best care possible, the National Health Care Institute introduced this subsidy scheme to finance the research needed to prove the effectiveness. This includes costs for care. If the results of the research are positive and the care is proven to be (cost) effective compared to existing methods, the care will get included in the standard healthcare package.
Do you want to submit a project idea for this round of the Promising Care subsidy scheme? Submit your idea via MijnZonMw before 2 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
