We are also excited to launch a video during the event, created in collaboration with the Radiology department at Erasmus MC and Philips.

Speakers
Jan-Jaap Visser
Dr. Jan-Jaap Visser is a Radiologist at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, where he works at the intersection of medical imaging, healthcare innovation, and artificial intelligence. His work focuses on how AI can be responsibly developed, evaluated, and implemented in clinical practice to improve patient care and the value of radiology. In addition to his clinical work, he leads research on the impact of AI in healthcare and collaborates with industry, policymakers, and international scientific societies on the future of medical technology.
He is actively involved in shaping how AI moves from promising technology to real-world healthcare solutions. At this event, he will share his perspective on how AI is transforming healthcare and what it will take to implement it responsibly and effectively in practice.
Jawad Handizi
Jawad Handizi is a Rotterdam-raised Global Life Science & Healthcare Executive with over 20 years of experience in pharma and med-tech. He is the former Vice President of Business Development for Western Europe at GE Healthcare and founder of JH Consultancy. He is also a former board member of Venture Cafe Rotterdam. He is active in the Dutch innovation ecosystem, supporting startups/ scale ups and investors.
During his presentation, he will talk about AI in Healthcare: From Introduction to Implementation: A Practical Journey. He will discuss topics such as high-level information on AI partners and their solutions, expectations vs. reality, challenges, success stories, and tips & tricks.
Danny Ruijters
Danny Ruijters is a Principal Scientist at Philips and Professor at TU/e. During his presentation he will talk about hyper-personalized patient treatment through big data and real-time AI. He will discuss how data driven value-based healthcare is changing image guided therapy. The development of intelligent and context aware systems optimize the data gathering and application in minimally invasive treatment. Particularly, the translation of large population datasets to the individual patient and vice-versa, and the direct application during image guided therapy enables hyper-personalized patient treatment.
