Startup GameAnalyze brings innovative ADHD screening solution to Rotterdam
GameAnalyze is a unique AI-driven, evidence-based screening solution designed to identify ADHD and other vulnerable conditions in children through game mechanics. The new startup has recently established their office in Rotterdam. Co-founder and CMO Dmitrii Pavlotski: “We were provided with the most soft landing one could dream of, taken care of in every single step.”
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD, is a chronic condition with an estimated number of more than 155 million children diagnosed worldwide. Startup GameAnalyze develops a methodology that combines a simple, casual game with an AI-driven screening solution: the digital ADHD-screening playground. As children play the game in various everyday settings, the AI carefully analyzes the data, assesses and monitors symptoms, and draws conclusions for early ADHD detections, offering help and recommendations if needed. The solution grants medical staff, health organizations, and households instant access to health services, empowering them with timely support. That is what makes GameAnalyze unique. “Our key point is working with both the households, to help them understand the kids and act if they need to contact the specialist, and the general practitioners, who usually lack time for all the patients,” explains Dmitrii Pavlotski. “With our solution, we cut time costs twice.”
Settling in Rotterdam
GameAnalyze has recently made the move to Rotterdam, officially establishing their headquarters at Cambridge Innovation Centre, CIC, in the historical Groot Handelsgebouw. The startup has a long history with the Netherlands. Pavlotski: “I have been to the Netherlands about 50 times in the last 20 years. When I met Eli (Yanovski, co-founder and CEO, ed.) and he told me about his initial thoughts of the project, I immediately understood we had to take it there.” Connecting with InnovationQuarter, and later Rotterdam Square, the startup was advised to contact CIC Rotterdam as stable and promising facility in the Dutch startup ecosystem to set up their office. “We scheduled a visit there and soon it was all set and done. We were provided with the most soft landing one could dream of, taken care of in every single step.”
Second stage clinical trials
Having settled down, the team has recently completed their second stage of clinical trials. In these trials, the accuracy of the screening solution was studied, as well as if the tool could identify the ADHD symptoms without causing distress or fatigue in children during the screening process. This randomized study took place over a 3 to 10-day period, using various game scenarios designed to imitate real-life distractions and challenges. Pavlotski: “We have reached an accuracy score of 84%, which means we can train the system to achieve results closer to 95% in the coming months. These positive findings support the design of our next planned study, a larger-scale trial focusing on the tool’s efficacy in diverse demographic groups.”
GameAnalyze is looking forward to collaborating with the Rotterdam ecosystem regarding their next studies, partnerships and investments. If you are interested in GameAnalyze’s work, please find more information on their website, reach out to them via e-mail, and follow their journey on LinkedIn.
